  • The Hong Kong Corporate Counsel Association is Hong Kong's only association of in-house counsel run for in-house counsel by in-house counsel.
  • The HKCCA provides its 500-plus members with many opportunities throughout the year to meet and discuss matters relevant to their professional careers and to their organisations.
  • We coordinate over 25 seminars, workshops and conferences with CPD credits each year. These high-quality events provide our members with up-to-date information on issues, trends and practice management.
  • Our Annual Conference points the spotlight at issues that directly affect inhouse lawyers and attracts high calibre speakers. At the 2008 conference, Mr Justice Geoffrey Ma, Chief Judge of the High Court, gave the key-note address.
  • We provide a collective voice where the in-house counsel community needs representation. We work to raise the profile of the in-house counsel community in Hong Kong and we promote Hong Kong as a regional hub for legal services.
  • Membership is only HK$500 per year for individuals. In 2008, we introduced corporate membership too.
  • If you are an in-house counsel, can you afford not to be a member?

In today’s increasingly interconnected world, most international trade and business transactions will usually involve at least one Asian party or jurisdiction. When commercial disputes arise, Hong Kong provides the ideal venue for speedy and reliable solutions.

The Hong Kong International Arbitration Centre (HKIAC) was founded in 1985 to provide an independent forum for resolving international business disputes and has emerged as one of the leading centres as Asia’s leading international dispute resolution services provider.  Located in “Asia’s World City,” the HKIAC provides a range of services to help you find the right solution for your business.

As the center and platform of dispute resolution activities in Hong Kong, the HKIAC’s flexible and full-service administration capabilities serve the needs of parties seeking to resolve their disputes.   The HKIAC administers arbitrations in accordance with its Administered Arbitration Rules and has the statutory authority to decide the number of arbitrators and appoint arbitrators in ad hoc arbitrations.  Further, the HKIAC has its own set of Mediation Rules and a wide variety of other rules which may be adopted for mediating particular disputes.  The HKIAC also holds a list of accredited mediators from which to appoint upon request by a party.  In addition, the HKIAC administers a number of specialised dispute resolution schemes, including domain name disputes, registered transfer disputes and internet keyword disputes, etc.
